LOCOROTONDO - APULIA - SOUTH ITALY
Locorotondo rises on a hill dominating Valle of Itria in the southern province of Bari zone. The small city is characterized of circular layout with limestone houses, trulli, pinnacles, "masserie" and the sharp profiles of the "cummerse"; unusual pitched roofs. The pretty medieval town is admirabily unspolit, entered from vias Garibaldi and Porta Nuova. Hight in the heart of the centre there is the magnificent mother church, consecrated to St. George. Locorotondo is an agricolture centre with its renowed wine D.O.C.
